Broyhill Equipment LLC located in Dakota City Nebraska, is in search of an individual to Manage Engineering / Prototype Duties.

Founded by Roy Broyhill in 1946 as the Broyhill Company, its primary product line was based around the application of the newly developed chemical 2-4-D. Many types of agricultrural application devices (sprayers) have been produced over the years, and still today sprayers remain a staple product in Broyhill's vast product line. Other products such as golf and sports turf care equipment as well as refuse collection equipment have been added to the mix over the years, giving Broyhill a diversified product line. Today, the Load and Pack refuse collection vehicle holds the spotlight as its premier product.

A small, but thriving manufacturing company which holds opportunity, as well as growing potential, is currently looking for an individual to join the team and lead the engineering and prototype departments.

Duties include, but may not be limited to:

• Direct daily duties to engineering staff: Drafters and shop techs (projects and tasks)
• Design new and improve or modify, existing equipment
• Produce and print out shop drawings for fabrication, welding, and assembly
• Tech support (phone and email)
• Owner’s manuals: Layouts and instructions
• Product demos and trade shows
• Produce nesting programs for plasma table
• Identify new methods of manufacturing and assembly to help increase profitability
• Vendor sourcing (Identify quality, affordable components for use in product line)
• Creating and updating Bills of Materials in Materials management software (OSAS)
• Search and obtain replacement components for obsolete purchased parts
• Prototyping of new products and changes or retrofits of existing products
• Some assembly of products for fit and function
• Testing of new products and components
• Prototyping of new products and changes or retrofits of existing products
• Occasional sales phone

Inventor & AutoCAD software experience. (2D and 3D), Microsoft office, Open Systems Accounting Software (OSAS)

engineering / industrial technology degree

Multi-tasking is a must

Agricultural, Automotive, or hydraulic background helpful

Fabrication / welding experience helpful
